Responsibilities

SUMMARY

Results-driven 3PL Proposals Manager with extensive experience developing competitive and customer-focused proposals for fulfillment and reverse logistics operations. Skilled in translating complex operational data into clear, cost-effective solutions that align with client requirements and business objectives. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in designing scalable warehousing, fulfillment, and returns management solutions. Strong background in cost modeling, solution design, and proposal strategy, with a track record of securing multi-million-dollar contracts through compelling, data-backed proposals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Proposal & RFP Management - Lead end-to-end development of 3PL proposals, RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs for warehousing, transportation, fulfillment, and value-added services, including kickoff meetings, data collection, content creation, and final submission. Ensure all responses are compliant, professional, and aligned with company standards and timelines.
  • Coordinate solution design inputs (layout, labor modeling, automation concepts, process flows) with operations teams.
  • Pricing & Financial Analysis - Develop and validate pricing structures, quotes, and bid models for both standard and complex customer opportunities. Ensure pricing aligns with company profitability goals, market conditions, and contract requirements. Conduct financial analysis to support new business cases and margin optimization.
  • Reverse Logistics & Supply Chain Integration - Support proposals and pricing strategies specific to reverse logistics, returns processing, refurbishment, and asset recovery. Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to capture accurate cost models and value-add service components.
  • Content Development & Documentation - Maintain and update the proposal content library with accurate, current, and compelling solution narratives. Work with subject matter experts to ensure service descriptions, staff bios, and company qualifications reflect KGPCo's capabilities across technology and supply chain services.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with Sales, Operations, Product Management, Finance, Legal, and Marketing to compile data and ensure proposal accuracy. Facilitate communication and alignment among stakeholders throughout the proposal lifecycle.
  • Reporting & Compliance - Track proposal status, maintain pricing and rebate data within company systems, and deliver reporting metrics to leadership. Ensure all activities comply with internal policies, terms, and pricing guidelines.
  • Customer & Market Engagement - Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries regarding quotes and proposals. Stay informed on industry trends and competitor pricing to ensure KGPCo remains aligned with market expectations.

SAFETY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere to, promote, and accept responsibility for compliance to Federal and Local Occupational Safety and Health Regulations, Industry Consensus Standards, and KGPCo Injury and Illness Prevention Program Manual.
  • Participate in job site safety and hazard analysis.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in proposal management, pricing analysis, or business development.
  • Strong understanding of 3PL operations, including warehousing, transportation, reverse logistics, kitting, and packaging.
  • Skilled in cost modeling, rate card development, and scenario-based pricing.
  • Ability to interpret customer data (volumes, order profiles, SKU data) and translate it into operational and financial solutions.
  • Successfully managed proposal responses for contracts valued at $1M annually.
  • Proven ability to manage a high volume of complex proposals with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with experience in cost modeling and bid analysis.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple, concurrent deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving across teams.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Ability to read and understand basic instructions, short communications, and memos; draft simple written correspondence; and effectively communicate in one-on-one or small group settings with customers, clients, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. Capable of performing calculations involving American currency and standard units of weight, volume, and distance.
  • The ability to follow written, verbal, or diagram-based instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
