Scope:
Working in the computational research group offices of Dr. Sapna Sarupria in Smith Hall in the Department of Chemistry

Duties:

70% assist with executing experiments and analyzing data in the field of computational
modeling of polymeric systems, using existing tools for combining machine
learning and molecular simulations for soft materials, and effective workflows to
enable simulation automation

20% Contributing data to eventual peer-reviewed manuscripts for publication and/or
presentation at professional meetings by others in the group, reviewing relevant
literature and following established procedures and techniques, and contributing
to new approaches to the problem.

10% Working with junior researchers in the group, attend and contribute to all group
meetings and work collaboratively other researchers in the lab

H-1B sponsorship may be provided to those who currently hold a valid visa and are present in the United States.

Qualifications

Required:
BA/BS degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or related OR a combination of education and work experience to equal at least four years

Preferred:
Experience with software development and proficiency in coding, experience in machine learning, scientific writing experience (research summaries, manuscripts for submission to journals).

Pay Range: $23.30 - $27.000 depending on education/qualifications/experience
