What You Can Expect

As our Human Resources Intern, you will play a key role in supporting various HR tasks and projects, including onboarding, training, background checks, performance management, leave of absences, and employee engagement. This internship offers the opportunity to learn from experienced HR professionals and gain valuable skills and experience in the field. This internship program spans five (5) months, running from January to May 2026. Don't miss this opportunity to kickstart your career journey with ENGIE.   • Support the HR team with various administrative tasks and projects
  • Help with the onboarding process, such as preparing welcome packages, conducting pre-hire background checks, and collecting paperwork
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of HR process and materials
  • Research and analyze HR best practices and trends
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees and managers, and respond to their queries and requests



What You'll Bring




  • You are currently enrolled in a college or university program related to human resources, business administration, psychology, or related field


  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, with the opportunity to become familiar with HR software and systems
  • You have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • You enjoy working independently and as part of a team, and can handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism



Additional Details



  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; consisting of with a minimum of three (3) days in the Houston, TX office
  • You are able to work up to 20-40 hours per week
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 5% of the time for career fairs
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies;



Compensation

Salary Range: $21.00- $25.00 USD hourly

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
