Assistant Manager Brand Comms

PURPOSE

Support the development and implementation of product marketing campaigns for key initiatives and/or categories based on category objectives and KPIs - in partnership with the larger global/local brand comms team and supporting marketing channel teams including retail, newsroom, digital, and creative production.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES



  • Support the Comms Lead in the development and execution of key initiatives and product campaigns with a focus on coordinating the final execution and delivery of communications materials in partnership with internal and external agency partners.
  • Support the team's collaborations with brand experience, trade marketing, agency partners and other marketing channel teams to effectively guide the creation of cohesive, multi-channel product and event marketing activations that achieve each respective project's objectives; foster and maintain strong relationships cross-functionally
  • Manage timeline and communication flow amongst the cross-functional team to ensure all team members are informed on latest updates and deadlines, etc.
  • Maintain an updated status report on all marketing elements with clear action items and deliverables and follow-up with cross-functional team members as needed to ensure all project elements are on track.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge on trends impacting the target consumer and be the voice of that consumer within the cross-functional team throughout the development of the marketing programs.
  • Create and maintain presentation materials (PPT, videos, etc.) to support internal and external campaign updates and sell-in meetings.
  • Manage product and promo ordering for seeding and category activations.
  • Support Comms manager with cross-functional internal and external briefing processes.
  • Support the creation of marketing activation recaps on behalf of the team to assess communication effectiveness using KPIs and analytics tools


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES



  • Demonstrates proficiency in project management, process development, and organizational skills with a heightened attention to detail
  • Ability to work across teams and manage priorities to accomplish multiple tasks with conflicting deadlines
  • Deep personal knowledge and/or professional experience in sport and/or fashion/lifestyle categories
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good at building relationships across a variety of levels
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)


QUALIFICATIONS



  • BA in marketing, advertising or related field preferred
  • Minimum two years of marketing-related experience
  • Digital and/or retail experience preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for degree

For work requiring a high degree of collaboration or an in-person presentation, in-office attendance is required even on Friday. The working location of this position is Portland, Oregon.
