What is the role about?

This role is an integral part of the calibration and repair teams with responsibilities tied to daily operation of the service center in keeping systems available, operational, and meeting performance requirements while overseeing technical and quality aspects of the calibration work that is being performed for our customers. This role must balance the urgency and expectations from customers, while ensuring the highest quality with the service provided.

Which tasks will you perform?

  • Support all laboratory calibration activities and technical problems related to lab calibration.
  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Service Center to ensure timely processing of instruments for repair and calibration and correct documentation for such repairs and calibrations.
  • Perform technical review of laboratory calibration requests and define the requirements for execution.
  • During peak workloads, perform initial inspection and preparation of customer instruments returned for calibration.
  • Monitor results of lab calibrations performed and authorize accredited lab calibrations.
  • Assist in maintaining ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ISO 17025 accreditation.
  • Maintain laboratory test equipment and calibration standards for the Service Center.
  • Collect, analyze and interpret calibration data/records and assist with the reporting and submittal of data for accreditation.
  • Perform calibrations in the lab and serve as primary backup for laboratory calibration technician when required.
  • Assist in the analysis and impact of out of tolerance reference standards and associated corrective actions and improvements.
  • Comply with all aspects of the Endress+Hauser safety program, including but not limited to; hazard communication, PPE requirements, and attending applicable safety training.

What do we expect from you?

You will have (required):

  • Associate degree in a technical field and at least 3 years in the industry
  • 6 years of combined relevant experience, education, and training
  • General metrology theory background
  • Occasional travel throughout the U.S., less than 10%

You may have (preferred):

  • Working knowledge of general electrical principles and wiring practices
  • Good understanding of electronic theory and electrical circuits, schematics, and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems
  • Capable of operating electrical test equipment (i.e. oscilloscopes, multi-meters, frequency counters, etc.)
  • Familiar with various types of calibration equipment (i.e. pressure, temperature, flow)
  • Working knowledge of pumps, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
