PreSales Solution Engineer | Automotive

As a Solution Engineerfor the Epicor Automotiveteam, you'll help shape the future of how automotive manufacturers, distributors, and service organizations run their businesses. You'll work closely with our sales teams to identify customer needs, demonstrate Epicor's value, and design tailored ERP solutions that power the global automotive supply chain - from parts production to aftermarket service.

What you will be doing:

  • Partner with Sales to understand customer challenges in automotive manufacturing, distribution, and aftermarket operations - and translate them into compelling Epicor solutions.

  • Prepare and deliver tailored software demonstrations, both remotely and on-site, highlighting how Epicor's automotive solutions (ERP, supply chain, MES, and aftermarket systems) drive measurable business value.

  • Analyze customer workflowsand operational pain points to design efficient, data-driven business processes across manufacturing, supply chain, inventory, and financials.

  • Collaborate with Product Management and Industry Teamsto share market feedback, influence roadmap decisions, and align Epicor solutions with evolving automotive trends such as EV manufacturing, digital supply chains, and predictive maintenance.

  • Support channel partners and system integratorswith solution design guidance, demo readiness, and technical enablement.

  • Conduct webinars, workshops, and proof-of-concept sessionsfor customers and prospects within the automotive ecosystem.

  • Travel up to 50% domestically, visiting customers, partners, and industry events.

What you will likely bring:

  • 3+ years of presales experiencein ERP or related enterprise software, ideally with exposure to automotive, manufacturing, or supply chain industries.

  • Strong understanding of automotive business processes, including production scheduling, traceability, EDI/OEM integration, parts management, aftermarket operations, and quality control.

  • Proven success in delivering ERP demonstrationsthat communicate complex technical concepts in clear, business-value terms.

  • Background working with or competing against ERP vendors such as SAP, Infor, QAD, SYSPRO, NetSuite, Microsoft, or IFS- or within Value-Added Resellers (VARs)serving automotive/manufacturing clients.

  • Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionallywith sales, product, and marketing to shape winning go-to-market strategies.

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

Range:

Minimum: $50,000 USD Maximum: $150,000 USD
