Summary
 The primary purpose of this position is to provide each assigned resident with compassionate, individualized daily nursing care and services in accordance with their assessment, care plan, and Windemere's established nursing care procedures. This position requires direct patient care and is essential to maintaining the comfort, safety, and dignity of our residents. Essential Functions Record all entries on flow sheets, notes, and charts in an informative and accurate manner using only approved facility abbreviations. Report all accidents, incidents, and changes in residents' condition promptly to the staff nurse. Ensure residents' rooms are prepared for admissions, transfers, or discharges; assist with packing and inventory of belongings. Follow work assignments and schedules, completing all tasks as directed. Respond promptly to resident call signals and report concerns to the nurse. Participate in walking rounds and handoff reports at the beginning and end of each shift. Take and document vital signs, weight, and intake/output; report abnormalities to the nurse. Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding. Maintain infection control and Universal Precaution practices at all times. Support residents with positioning, transfers, and mobility using proper lifting techniques and equipment. Observe and report skin changes, pressure areas, and potential breakdowns. Provide perineal and catheter care, range-of-motion exercises, and post-mortem care as instructed. Prepare residents for meals, activities, and social programs; document intake and assist as needed. Serve and record snacks and fluids; maintain hydration and nutritional documentation. Participate in safety and disaster response procedures, including internal and external drills. Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and respect in all interactions with residents, families, and staff. Attend required training, in-service education, and orientation programs. Uphold Windemere's standards of quality care, compliance with OBRA and HIPAA regulations, and infection-control guidelines. Promote teamwork, positive communication, and a supportive work environment across all shifts.
