What to Expect
We are seeking a skilled Control Technician to join our team at Tesla. The ideal candidate will have expertise in mechanical & electrical control, and vision systems. This role involves hands-on troubleshooting and continuous improvement of equipment, and process to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
What You'll Do
- Utilize programming skills to update and modify control systems for enhanced equipment functionality
- Investigate and implement countermeasures to enhance Cpk and product yield
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to diagnose and resolve equipment issues and implement upgrades
- Understand the principles of vision systems and optimize process to verify product quality
- Consult manuals, read and interpret circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
- Work with electronic control systems including microprocessors, sensors, and final control elements used in automated processes
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and practices
What You'll Bring
- 3-5 years of experience on process automation and/or electromechanical systems. Ability to perform skilled termination of controls devices
- Ability to read and interpret PLC code, HMI, and vision system
- Working knowledge of low voltage electrical systems from 24VDC to 480VAC
- Ability to read and comprehend wiring diagrams, loop drawings, and P&ID drawings. Ability to read and interpret electrical prints and schematics
- Ability to work in high elevation up to 80 ft. and ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly
- Strong knowledge in troubleshooting of motor controls, variable frequency drives, programmable controllers and other electronic components
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
