Job Summary Are you passionate about ensuring product quality and conformance? The Land Electronics Quality Team in Melbourne, FL is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Quality Inspector - Receiving Inspection (Mechanical) to join us. In this role, you will perform detailed inspections of products, components, and assemblies, ensuring they adhere to engineering designs and purchase order specifications. What You Will Do Perform complex inspection activities, to assess conformance of products to the design as defined by the engineering drawings and/or models Inspect products, components, subassemblies, and/or systems to ensure conformance to requirements Assist Quality Engineers with identifying non-conforming conditions of products that present existing or impending defective conditions at the system or subsystem level of assembly Assist Quality Engineers prepare inspection plans and checklists for inspection Perform material movement transactions after completing inspection process May specialize in receiving inspection, and Final Inspection, Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization. Strong attention to detail to perform thorough inspections and identify non-conformances Generate discrepancy notices and initiate Material Review Board Actions Validates the quality of purchased BOM materials based on set acceptance criteria Ensure nonconforming material is properly segregated according to procedures and controlled until properly dispositioned Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel) and general PC skills to support documentation and data management tasks Qualifications High school diploma or GED 5+ years relevent experience and in-depth knowledge of receiving inspection process Experience reading drawings and able to verify parts Experience reading mechanical drawings and able to verify part dimensions against drawing requirements Experience in operating Hexagon CMM Equipment and various measurement tools for validating dimensions IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 Experience is Preferred but not Required AS9102 FAIR Standard Experience Required Maintain ESD integrity within production environment where necessary Maintain a clean safe work environment and contribute to the 6S program and Lean concepts Communicating results, and necessary escalations to supervisors effectively Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
