Essential Job Functions:

The Associate Director, Patient Access HUB Operations, will play a key role in supporting the company's reimbursement, access, and patient support services.

The Associate Director will work with and report to the Senior Director, Patient Access & Services Program. The Associate Director will lead the strategic and operational oversight of HUB services supporting patient access to specialty pharmaceutical products. This role ensures alignment with brand objectives, drives performance excellence through KPIs, and manages complex access pathways for patients and prescribers.

  • Serve as primary liaison between manufacturer and HUB to ensure seamless program execution to achieve synergies with process, training, efficiency and the customer experience. Lead governance meetings, performance reviews, and issue resolution. Monitor service level agreements (SLAs), compliance, and operational efficiency.

  • Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) across patient access workflows (e.g., enrollment, benefits verification, prior authorization, appeals, fulfillment). Develop dashboards and reporting tools to communicate performance trends to internal stakeholders. Identify and implement process improvements based on data insights.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with brand teams, market access, and commercial operations to align HUB services with brand goals and launch strategies. Ensure HUB messaging and patient support services reflect brand values and compliance standards.

  • Ensure HUB adherence to protocols, documentation, and reporting requirements. Partner with regulatory and safety teams to maintain program integrity and compliance.

  • Manage operational HUB and designated specialty pharmacy processes. Ensure timely prescription triage, fulfillment, and patient onboarding. Resolve escalations related to pharmacy access, shipment delays, or reimbursement issues.

  • Identify, lead and support implementation of program/workflow enhancements, such as during annual reverification season, that improve the overall customer experience and patient access to treatment.

  • Drive innovation by seeking out opportunities for process improvements and identifying operation inefficiencies using data analytics, including but not limited to, enhanced customer engagement or points of intervention in the patient journey.

  • Collaborate effectively with internal business departments such as Marketing, Sales, Channel Operations, Payer Teams, Access & Reimbursement, Analytics, Training, Compliance, Medical, Regulatory, and Legal.

  • Support the end-to-end management lifecycle, including sourcing, contract negotiation, performance monitoring, timely review of invoices/budget, and relationship management ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance.

Required / Preferred Education and Licenses:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PharmD) preferred.

  • 7+ years of experience in patient services, HUB operations, market access, or specialty pharmacy.

  • Oversight and management of case management teams that interface with patients, payers, and HCPs

  • Demonstrated track record of executing strategy in a matrix environment with complex systems is critical.

  • In depth knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturer compliance requirements, patient confidentiality (HIPAA regulations), product reimbursement and product access

  • Knowledge and experience in Medicare Parts A-D, Medicaid, and private payer policies, reimbursement process, health policy, areas of coverage, payment, coding, and Specialty Pharmacy.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills; Proven teamwork and collaboration skills with cross-functional work teams; Ability to analyze data to drive decision-making; Able to effectively manage competing priorities with strong sense of urgency; Ability to think creatively / innovatively striving for solutions to access issues.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in KPI development and performance reporting.

  • Position Pittsburgh based with 70% weekly onsite capability; 15% travel required.

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the full and complete base pay range is: $152,000.00 - $228,000.00

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.

At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
