- Inspect material, mark defects and flaws for grinding and remove defects with hand grinder if required.
- Weighs, band, mark, stamp, tag and identify material after re-grinding.
- Check dimensions and surface quality to meet customers' requirements.
- Ensure compliance with established grinding techniques.
- Detect and report defective material and improper operations and unusual condition to proper supervision.
- Comply with prescribed safety regulations and keep area clean.
NON-ESSENTIAL TASKS:
- Perform other duties as required or directed by work leader or supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Required to pass In-dept vision screening
- Requires the use of some judgement to inspect and mark defects.
- Be able to read and follow written procedures.
