We are seeking an accounts payable bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will have prior experience working in a bookkeeper role, be comfortable working in a fast-paced setting, able to meet deadlines, work independently and as part of a team. You'll be part of a great team at a mission-based organization that has earned the designation as a Chicago Tribune Top Workplace for five consecutive years. Location : Hybrid (TheMorton Arboretum, Lisle IL) Position Summary: Process and pay invoices utilizing an automated accounts payable system. Analyze vendor invoices, expense reimbursements, check requests, vendor statements, contracts, and other business documents. Work with budget managers and others with purchasing responsibility to ensure the purchasing and payment policies, procedures and processes of the Morton Arboretum are followed. Essential Functions:
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate's degree preferred. 1+ years experience with Accounting software (Concur and Sage Intacct preferred). Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Google applications beneficial. Good interpersonal and communication skills required. Ability to handle confidential records with discretion. Success Factors: Strong customer service orientation. Good organizational and time management skills, at ease with software applications and attention to detail. Accuracy in entering and processing data. The expected hiring range for this exempt position is annualized at $50,000 - $54,000 based on experience that will be evaluated during the candidate selection process.
