Overview
Location: Groton, CT (hybrid) Electric Boat is experiencing historic growth as we support the U.S. Navy's demand for the next generation of submarines, and with that comes a need to share our story in powerful, authentic ways. We're seeking a Social Media TA Outreach Partner to help bring Electric Boat's recruiting brand to life across digital platforms and public events. This creative, fast-paced role supports one of the nation's largest defense-focused hiring operations and plays a key part in building awareness, driving engagement, and showcasing the people behind our mission.
Responsibilities:
Creative & Branding
Design digital and print materials to support recruiting and outreach efforts, including social graphics, event signage, ads, presentations, flyers, and giveaways.
- Maintain brand consistency across all creative assets, ensuring alignment with Electric Boat's visual identity and messaging standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop co-branded materials, campaign assets, and promotional content.
- Support creative production for large-scale sponsorships and events
- Contribute creative input for landing pages, advertising campaigns, and public-facing initiatives that promote Electric Boat's mission and career opportunities.
Social Media & Content Creation
- Develop and schedule content across Electric Boat's social media platforms that highlights hiring needs, events, employee stories, partnerships, and more.
- Create engaging photo, video, and written content that showcases Electric Boat's people, culture, and mission.
- Partner with the Communications team to align messaging and maximize reach through coordinated internal and external storytelling.
- Track analytics to monitor growth, engagement, and campaign performance.
Event & Outreach Support (Recruiter Capacity)
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to plan and execute EB's participation in local, regional, and national recruiting events.
- Assist in organizing EB-hosted hiring events, career fairs, and information sessions-managing logistics, design, and event promotion.
- Design and coordinate creative event materials, including signage, handouts, and giveaways.
- Support partnerships with organizations and workforce development programs to strengthen community outreach.
Attend and represent Electric Boat at career fairs, high school events, and community outreach programs, engaging directly with candidates and sharing hiring information, as needed.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Public Relations, Advertising, or a media related degree
- 2-5 years of professional experience in graphic design, social media management, and/or marketing communications
- Experience supporting employer branding, event marketing, and/or hiring efforts
- 50-75% Travel required (local & domestic)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Public Relations, Advertising, or and media related degree
Skills
- Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and Microsoft Office.
- Strong creative eye for design and visual storytelling.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both digital and in-person engagement.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative, proactive, and adaptable team player with a passion for EB's mission.
- Photography and/or video capture and editing skills are a plus.
- Experience measuring campaign performance and social media engagement is preferred.
- Familiarity with social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, LinkedIn Campaign Manager).
