AUTOMATIC BAR & CHUCKING

Bedford, PA

3rd shift: 11pm - 7am (monday-friday)

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Operate automatic bar & chucking machines to produce finished bodies.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

• high school diploma or general equivalency diploma;
• Completion of basic math, blueprint reading and gauge-reading training;
• The ability to understand written and oral instructions and communicate with supervisors and coworkers;
• A forklift's operator's license.

JOB ACTIVITIES:

• Operates chucker(s) at optimal level to meet or exceed established daily production rates;
• Inspect machined tools visually and with the use of gauges, micrometers, calipers, etc.;
• Recognize, change, and replace worn tooling, make adjustments as needed;
• Prepare for and assist the Set-up person in machine changeover;
• Perform daily preventative maintenance procedures;
• Work as fill-in for machine operators as needed.
