Play an integral role in advancing Worley's global standards of excellence as our next Director, Quality Control - Welding, NDE and ASME Code Programs. This is a leadership opportunity for someone who thrives on building trust, driving quality innovation, and setting benchmarks in technical performance. You'll be part of an organization that is shaping the future of sustainable industrial projects worldwide-where your ideas and expertise will have a lasting impact on our people, our clients, and our planet.

Purpose of the Role

You will be responsible for leading Worley's global Quality Control programs focused on welding, non-destructive examination (NDE), and ASME code compliance. This means defining and implementing world-class quality strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enabling continuous improvement across diverse, complex, and high-value projects. Your leadership will influence how our teams execute quality from design to delivery-driving excellence, safety, and consistency across every region where Worley operates.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of strategic quality programs and policies aligned with Worley's vision, mission, and operational priorities.
  • Lead the global Welding, NDE, and ASME Code Programs, ensuring alignment with applicable codes, client requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Serve as Worley's technical authority for quality control, offering expert consultation on global projects and providing guidance to both technical and executive leaders.
  • Collaborate across functions to integrate quality into all project phases, from engineering and procurement through fabrication, construction, and commissioning.
  • Provide leadership and direction to regional and project-level quality teams, setting clear expectations, mentoring talent, and fostering a collaborative and accountable culture.
  • Oversee the evaluation, qualification, and audit of suppliers, contractors, and third-party inspection agencies to maintain consistent global standards.
  • Partner with executive management to drive global strategies, resource planning, and business improvements that elevate overall quality performance.
  • Ensure continuous improvement by identifying trends, developing corrective and preventive actions, and implementing new systems and processes that support operational excellence.
  • Represent Worley in client, regulatory, and industry forums-enhancing the organization's reputation as a thought leader in quality assurance and control.

  • Recognized as a functional expert and thought leader, with deep knowledge of ASME codes, international welding standards, and NDE methodologies.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing diverse teams across multiple geographies and disciplines.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage confidently at executive and board levels.
  • Proven success in developing long-term strategies and translating them into actionable, measurable programs.
  • A collaborative mindset-committed to inclusion, knowledge-sharing, and enabling others to succeed.
  • Advanced understanding of quality management systems, processes, and digital tools, with the ability to teach, guide, and innovate within them.
