POSITION SCOPE

The Loader Operator is a skilled heavy equipment operator responsible for operating a wheel loader to load and transport materials such as dirt, rocks, gravel, sand, and demolition debris. In addition to operating the loader, the individual may also perform laborer and mechanic duties, including routine maintenance and repairs to ensure the equipment remains in optimal condition. The Loader Operator must prioritize safety and efficiency in all operations and adhere to project specifications. Daily responsibilities also include servicing and maintaining the machinery to support smooth project progress.

PRIMARY DUTIES



  • Operate equipment efficiently to maintain production goals
  • Assist with setup and tear down of plants
  • Perform general maintenance, repair, and service equipment as required or directed by supervisor
  • General housekeeping of equipment and plant daily or as directed by supervisor
  • Individuals must be able to lift objects weighing 80 lb. on a regular basis
  • The use of a shovel to move material will be necessary
  • In addition to operating the loader, the individual may also perform laborer and mechanic duties, including routine maintenance and repairs
  • Perform all duties within safety guidelines set up by M.S.H.A. and company policy
  • Perform pre-shift inspections on equipment prior to startup
  • Night shift work required
  • Overnight travel required
  • Perform other duties as assigned


REQUIREMENTS



  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Completion of a heavy equipment operator training program is preferred
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Valid commercial driver's license preferred
  • OSHA certification is preferred
  • Must hold an M.S.H.A. 5000-23 certificate
  • Part 48 Mining Certified
  • Able to operate equipment efficiently to maintain project specifications
  • Team player
  • Mechanical knowledge of equipment and being able to perform routine maintenance
  • Night shift work and Travel will be required
