Summary

Arizona Public Service (APS) is looking to add a Construction Maintenance Plannerto their team. TheConstruction Maintenance Planner serves as liaison with customers, coordinate resources for construction/maintenance projects, ensure correct materials, equipment and manpower are provided for project completion, perform simple job design, and assist with the complex design of projects. TheConstruction Maintenance Planner acts as a project leader for numerous, simultaneous projects. This role may perform facility inspections in accordance with APS Standards.



What you will do:




  • Resource & Project Coordination: Ensure construction projects are fully staffed, track contract budgets, and manage timely delivery of materials to job sites.
  • Design & Oversight: Perform design work for small projects, assist on complex plans, provide cost estimates, and oversee inspections, repairs, and vehicle records for operational efficiency.
  • Safety & Compliance Leadership: Promote safe work practices, resolve policy issues, and manage environmental compliance, hazardous materials, and emergency response duties when required.
  • Note: The majority of the job duties [approximately 60%] are field activities performed out of doors at various project sites.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school degree/GED and two (2) years Journeyman electrician experience.
  • OR Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or an equivalent discipline and two (2) years experience in construction, engineering, operations, or maintenance within the utility or related industry.
  • OR high school degree/GED and seven (7) years equivalent combination of education and experience in construction, engineering, operations, or maintenance within the utility or related industry.
  • Some positions may require experience with rubber glove (RG) practices.
  • Working knowledge of company policies and procedures, environmental regulations, Labor agreement, APS Construction Standards, Accident Prevention Manual and OSHA standards.
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills.

On-site:Requires work to be performed in the field and/or at an APS facility. Depending on the responsibilities of the role, this may include, but is not limited to, working at a power plant, job site, or in the community.

*Employees are expected to reside in Arizona (or New Mexico for Four Corners-based employees).
