spring semester! We are seeking passionate individuals with a drive for

This is an exceptional opportunity to work alongside world-class researchers
and contribute to groundbreaking advancements in biomedical engineering at New
Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and Stanford University.

As a Postdoctoral researcher in
biomedical engineering department at NJIT with collaboration at Infectious
Disease Division at Stanford University, you will have the opportunity to
engage in cutting-edge research projects that aim to revolutionize healthcare
technologies. Under the guidance of esteemed faculty members of Stanford
University and NJIT, Drs. Paul Bollyky and Maryam Hajfathalian, you will
contribute to groundbreaking discoveries, scientific publications, and patents,
paving the way for a successful career in academia or industry. The research
program is a collaborative project between NJIT and Stanford University.

Essential Functions:
-Collaborate with faculty and
researchers to design and conduct experiments in the field of microbiology,
human health, chemistry, material sciences.
-Develop innovative solutions for
healthcare challenges through the application of engineering principles.
-Analyze and interpret
experimental data and contribute to the publication of research findings.
-Engage in scientific discussions
and present research findings at conferences and seminars.
-Contribute to the supervision and
mentoring of undergraduate students.
-Participate in grant writing
opportunities and contribute to the overall academic environment.

Prerequisite Qualifications:
-Hold a PhD degree in Biomedical
Engineering, MD, or a related field such as Microbiology, Human health,
Chemistry, Material Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Biosciences, and
Biomedical physics.
-Strong academic record and
research background
-Demonstrated proficiency in
experimental design, data analysis, and scientific writing.
-Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills.
-Flexible with working in both
Stanford University and NJIT.
-At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.

Bargaining Unit:
AFT-UCAN

Salary Information:
In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the negotiated starting annual salary for this position is $62,232.00 (USD). NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses or other items.
