Role Description & Responsibilities

Our Dassault Systemes SOLIDWORKS EDU team is excited to announce we have a in person internship opportunity available in our Waltham, MA office!

As a SW EDU team FRC focus engineer Intern, you will manage the FIRST Robotics content for SOLIDWORKS Desktop and Cloud Apps. You receive valuable real experience in KOP, Field, and Visualize.

Qualifications

* Strong SOLIDWORKS modeling skills

o Applicants should at minimum hold a CSWA certification

o Ability to build and troubleshoot assembly models

o Ability to troubleshoot and repair imported geometry

o Experience with surface modeling/direct editing is a plus

o Experience using C-Points, cables, and wires in SOLIDWORKS is a plus

* Experience with FRC is a plus

* Experience with Visualize is a plus

* Experience with the Platform is not expected, but certainly a plus

Key Actions:

* Build the KOP in last year's version of commercial SOLIDWORKS

* Build the KOP in xDesign

* Use SOLIDWORKS Task Scheduler to export each file in STEP format

* Import the Field into SOLIDWORKS and make sure nothing is broken

* Import the Field into xDesign and make sure nothing is broken

* Import the fixed Field into Visualize

* Write an updated ReadMe document describing the contents of the KOP

* Monitor and make updates to the KOP, Field, Visualize, and edit the ReadMe for new updates as well

Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The estimated hourly compensation range will be between $22.00 and $24.00.
