Job Overview

The Financial Systems Manager of OneStream is responsible for overseeing the administration, optimization, and support of the OneStream financial system. This role ensures accurate data management, supports financial close and consolidation processes, and drives reporting and analysis through tools like Power BI. The manager leads system upgrades, testing, and change management initiatives, while also providing user support and training across the organization. Additionally, the role ensures compliance with audit and governance standards and develops business rules and calculations to enhance financial reporting accuracy and efficiency.

A Day In The Life
System Administration

  • Manage application settings, security, and workflows.
  • Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system availability.
  • Coordinate patches, upgrades, and environment refreshes with IT.



Data Management

  • Ensure accurate financial data reporting and compliance.
  • Oversee data imports from ERP and other sources.
  • Validate and reconcile data; maintain metadata, FX rates, and transformation rules.
  • Manage data integrations and mappings.



Close & Consolidation Support

  • Support monthly close, forecasting, financial statements, audits, and acquisitions.
  • Execute consolidations, calculations, and allocations per deadlines.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot intercompany eliminations and consolidation logic.
  • Resolve system issues promptly to support financial processes.



Reporting & Analysis

  • Support Power BI reporting linked to OneStream.
  • Assist with ad-hoc queries and custom report creation for Finance teams.



Upgrades, Testing & Change Management

  • Lead financial systems projects and enhancements.
  • Translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Drive productivity and automation improvements.
  • Manage testing, UAT, and deployment processes across environments.
  • Conduct regression testing to ensure system stability.



User Support & Training

  • Serve as primary OneStream support contact.
  • Provide training and documentation for users.
  • Promote best practices and system adoption across the organization.



Governance & Compliance

  • Manage audits and ensure SOX/ITGC compliance.
  • Maintain audit logs and support audit requests.



Business Rules & Calculations

  • Develop and maintain VB.NET business rules.
  • Implement logic for allocations, currency conversion, and KPIs.
  • Test and deploy changes following change management protocols.


What will help you thrive in this role?


  • Experience:



    • 10+ years overall, with 5+ years in financial reporting.
    • 5+ years administering or optimizing financial systems (e.g., OneStream, HFM, Hyperion).
    • OneStream administration experience is a strong plus.




  • Education:



    • Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance with strong IT skills, or
    • Bachelor's in Information Systems with strong finance knowledge.




  • Technical Skills:



    • VB.NET scripting required.
    • Power BI connectivity is a plus.




  • Project & Team Skills:



    • Strong project management and ability to meet deadlines.
    • Capable of working independently and collaboratively.
    • Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.




  • Personal Attributes:



    • High integrity, proactive mindset, and adaptability.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to handle time-sensitive issues effectively.




  • Additional:



    • Experience supporting a publicly traded company is preferred.
