The Senior Financial Analyst of International Accounting will be responsible for: Accounting for various Wendy's International entities and (working with our third party International accounting firms), supporting the completion of annual International statutory audits, and providing support for various G&A departments within Wendy's Dublin Restaurant Support Center; The position is required to prepare journal entries, analyze and reconcile accounts, and explain balance sheet and P&L variances as part of the monthly and quarterly closing and reporting processes.

Responsibilities
  • Significant focus on technical accounting matters.Coordinating the International audits and financial statement preparation for foreign branches and legal entities. Keeps current with technical accounting literature in order to prepare journal entries, and supporting analysis for concluded accounting treatment.
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly standard and miscellaneous journal entries, analyzes account activity, and prepares balance sheet reconciliations. Amortizes prepaids and prepares various corporate accruals including International Payroll, Legal, IT and various other G&A accruals.
  • Monthly, assist with consolidations, intercompany reconciliations, recording of intercompany dividends and contributions, and eliminations. Records intercompany management fees, intercompany debt activity, balances intercompany and settles intercompany balances. Coordinates International wire payments and prepares journals to record monthly International activity.
  • Prepares audit schedules and reporting packages to be submitted as needed to the auditors for the annual audit, to tax for the preparation of the company's tax return and financial reporting for appropriate disclosure in the company's financial statements.
  • Identify, recommend and implement process improvements. Effectively communicate across the organization to ensure information flows timely and accurately. Provide support to various internal departments throughout the organization as well as external vendors.
  • Perform special projects as assigned including ad hoc analysis and requests from management.


What we expect from you
  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting.
  • CPA or on track to obtain CPA.
  • A minimum of three to five years of accounting experience; public accounting and/or industry experience with SEC filer preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, v-lookups, and sumifs.
  • Experience with Oracle and Smart View.
Expected Work Location (In Office): It is expected that you will primarily perform work at the Wendy's Restaurant Support Center (RSC) (1 Dave Thomas Blvd, Dublin, OH 43017), or at other location(s) as designated by the Company. You are required to work in the office at least 4 days a week. Changes to work location arrangements are subject to managerial approval and business needs. #LI-Onsite

The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. The target annual bonus for this role is 10% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance.
