KPMG is currently seeking a Managing Director to join our Audit organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with GAMG, KGSG, ATA, AQSN and cross-functionally to evaluate the necessity of methodology and workflow updates in the Risk Assessment and Control Topic Teams
  • Provide active coaching, development, mentoring and knowledge-sharing with members of the Controls and the Risk Assessment Topic Teams (standardization), including DPP rotationals and dedicated GDC resources, to advance their career development and create an environment of innovation and challenging the status quo; manage and review those team members' work product
  • Apply a strategic mindset to project scoping and management related to the Risk Assessment (standardization) and Controls Topic Teams; make independent decisions related to required tasks and use judgment to regularly make decisions on high risk and complex matters; drive continuous process improvement activities by identifying problems and offering solutions
  • Proactively consider the impact of standard-setting activities on Risk Assessment (standardization) and Control Topic Teams
  • Serving as a clearing resource on audit and attestation inquiries, including working with supporting consulting resources to research topics and reach conclusions as well as networking with other members of the Audit Group's methodology topic teams
  • Providing an exceptional client experience to our engagement teams by responding timely, communicating clearly and being professional in all interactions with engagement team members
Qualifications:
  • Minimum twelve years of recent financial statement audit experience with demonstration of capability to lead an overall engagement and/or serve as the technical resource with a focus on customer service and teamwork across multiple functions.
  • Licensed U.S. CPA in home state
  • Bachelor of Accountancy or Master of Accountancy from an accredited college or university
  • Extensive experience with US GAAP, US GAAS and PCAOB auditing standards, SEC and IFRS as related to client portfolio
  • High level of engagement management and people management skills and ability to effectively coach, develop and manage rotational senior managers and managers; can lead project teams on small to large sized projects
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, listening, communication, consensus building, coaching and project management skills
