Job Description




As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol in Fort Oglethorpe, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence for patients, visitors, and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, offer exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with those you encounter. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at healthcare locations by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, offering support to staff, patients, and visitors as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a welcoming environment.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to established procedures.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and local law enforcement as required to address incidents and/or emergencies.
  • Participate in site-specific training and maintain awareness of policies and procedures relevant to the healthcare environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Vaccinations are required for work in a hospital environment.
  • Work in a hospital environment may require duties involving the morgue.
  • Work in a hospital environment may require restraining individuals.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
