The Inventory and Quality Supervisoris responsible formaintaininginventory accuracy, spaceutilization, continuous improvement, and quality control.Quality Control consists of ensuring compliance with company policies and directives, as well as Standard Operating Procedure adherence within the distribution center.


This position is also responsible formaintaininga perpetualrecordintegrity in distribution to ensure inventory accuracy through the administration of the cycle count program and the thorough analysis and response to miscellaneous issues and receipts.This Supervisor is also responsible for overseeing the functions performed by inventory associates and other such staff. He/she will also ensure that the operation adheres to the overall corporate mission, vision, and core values while consistently meeting client and company expectations.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Inventory




  • Implement spaceutilizationplanto meet prescribed cost and service standards.






  • Monitors the space layout plan to ensure it continuously meets company standards.






  • Implement an effective product locator system andupdateas necessary.






  • Analyzes daily cycle counts and reconciles any discrepancies between physical count and perpetual record.






  • Analyzes directed cycle counts and reconciles any discrepancies between physical count and perpetual record.






  • Audit the daily error report and makecorrections asnecessary.






  • Analyze and publish monthly data from WMS reportsindicatingmonthly and year-to-date totals of cycle count dollar variances.






  • Analyze stock change in/outs transactions on material for validity to the product structure.






  • Analyze miscellaneous receipts and issues and take corrective action asappropriate.






  • Distribution leader for Physical Inventory.






  • Gain complete knowledge of the on-line Inventory Audit Trail tofacilitateany research toward corrective action.






  • Prepare monthlyreportsignifying major problems and updates on projects or assignments.






  • Audit warehouse daily for compliance with safety, security, and quality principles and rules.Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.Promote safety among workcrew.






  • Transmit e-mails to DSV representatives and clients (whenrequired), write corrective/preventive actions, complete reports for operations manager, follow-up with attendance reports, write counselingmemosand write/perform evaluations.All communications must beaccurateand professional.






  • Conduct daily startup meetings, encouraging associates to provide feedback and work as a team and help with their development (training), coordinate operations with manager to ensure completion of dailyobjectives, report and discuss any internal or external issues that involve the operation.






  • Providegood communicationand motivational techniques and ensure all company rules are followed.






  • Provide management with informationregardinglabor/equipment needs to meet customer demands.






  • Develop team leaders and ensure that associate expectations arebeing met. Delegating work and responsibility to subordinates.






  • Oversee scheduled shifts and evaluate the work of inventory staff and subordinates.






  • Assistwith associate relations and training.






  • Perform other duties as assigned (In transit report, shipping adjustments, etc.)





Quality




  • Maintains compliance to international, industry and customer-specific quality standards.This includes ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001






  • Leads and individuallyperformsas needed, the analysis of product/service issues todetermineroot causes.






  • Manages and communicates change control processes to all departments.






  • Responsible for the coordination of internal and external auditing plusmaintainingthe internal quality audit system.






  • Assistsin implementation and monitoring of the company quality systems including, but not limited to, compliance with the following standards: ISO 9001:2008






  • Assistsin establishment,implementationand evaluation of quality management system metrics.






  • Provides guidance and support for customer service and quality departmentsassistingwith problem solving and improvement opportunities.






  • Manages customer driven continual improvement roadmaps.






  • Develops and conducts training on the quality system and other related topics






  • Oversees document control; updating,creatingand publishing controlled documents including sending change notifications to affected parties/departments and follows up on the Quality Management System.






  • Develops and implements administrative systems including record management, traceability, and trend reporting.





OTHER DUTIES




  • Performs other duties asrequired






  • Able toworkflexible schedules, including nights and weekends, as required by the operation.






  • Participate in established cross training matrix activities with the opportunity to improve their knowledge in multiple areas / departments and be able to assist as a backup associate when the need mayrise.






SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Responsible forthe inventoryleadsandassociates.






  • Ensures training and developmentofassociatesrelated toknowledge of product placement and equipment usage.






SKILLS & ABILITIES


Education& Experience:




  • Must have aHighschool diploma or general education degree (GED).






  • 1 year experience working ina logistics/distribution/relevant environment.






  • Able to operate MHE


  • Experience with ISO Standards 9001, 14001, 45001
