What you'll do:

As a full-time Optometrist, you'll practice full-scope optometry, providing exceptional care and educating patients about their ocular health. In this role, you'll manage a well-established and loyal patient base, typically seeing up to 22 patients each day. You'll be expected to conduct two billable exams per hour, ensuring efficient yet attentive care for every individual while leveraging the support of a skilled team and advanced technology. You'll be joining a practice with long-tenured staff who are proficient in all aspects of the practice, fostering a healthy and friendly work environment. This is a full-time opportunity with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, plus alternating 6-hour Saturdays, allowing for a balanced work-life routine in a supportive setting. In addition to your base salary, you'll benefit from a generous 14.5% production bonus. Eye Trends also invests in your professional growth by offering a continuing education allowance, ensuring you remain at the forefront of optometric advances and can continually refine your skills.

The ideal candidate excels at building strong patient connections through effective communication and empathy, demonstrates meticulous attention to detail and sharp problem-solving skills for accurate diagnosis and treatment, and embraces continuous learning to stay current with medical advancements. Adaptability, patience, and a professional, ethical approach are essential for providing high-quality, patient-centered care alongside our long-tenured, supportive team. Leveraging advanced technology and ongoing educational support, you'll continually refine your skills and deliver top-notch eye care to our loyal patient base. A current or pending OD license in Texas is required.

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D. including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure

1-3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of Optometric technology and practices; new graduates are encouraged to apply

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills

Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service

Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties

Working Conditions

The working environment is generally favorable, lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
