We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer with expertise in the .NET stack and SQL Server to support digital transformation across three advanced manufacturing facilities specializing in castings, coatings, and machining. This role will focus on developing and maintaining web-based applications that enhance process control, data visibility, and operational efficiency. The developer will collaborate with engineering, operations, and IT teams to automate workflows, integrate industrial software, and support cross-facility standardization.

Key Responsibilities



  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications using the .NET framework (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core)
  • Create web-based data entry forms to streamline and standardize manual input across operations
  • Build tools for:


    • Live production status and process yield tracking
    • Turnaround time (TAT) and inventory management
    • Scrap tracking, forecasting, and yield analysis
    • Production scheduling and efficiency monitoring


  • Develop and manage SQL Server databases to support data-driven applications
  • Support digital standardization across BELAC, COLD, and CCTC by:


    • Creating scalable, reusable solutions for multi-site deployment
    • Centralizing data collection and reporting systems


  • Integrate and support industrial software platforms (e.g., AVEVA, SAS)
  • Automate mandatory reporting processes (e.g., lab certifications, customer data)
  • Implement and support Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to mistake-proof operations and reduce manual labor



Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in web development using the .NET stack (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core)
  • Strong experience with SQL Server: database design, stored procedures, query optimization
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML/CSS)
  • Experience designing user-friendly data entry forms and interfaces
  • Familiarity with manufacturing systems, process control, and industrial software integration
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects across multiple facilities



Preferred Skills



  • Experience with manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, CTQ, and TAT
  • Knowledge of foundry operations, coatings, and machining processes
  • Experience with API development and integration
  • Proficiency in data visualization and dashboard creation
