What to Expect The Tesla Energy Product and Service Engineering team is looking for a passionate, collaborative, and skilled Product Engineer to join the team to support the explosive growth of our Industrial Storage fleet. As the Industrial Storage fleet grows , Tesla is also committed to having an industry-leading uptime in our deployed fleet of commercial and utility scale batteries.We use data collected from our highly connected systems to find problems before the customer does and to systematicallyeliminatethe causes of downtime. The Industrial Storage team is seeking a product engineer to lead the identification and root cause of design, process,firmwareand software failures in our fleet of energy storage systems.You will work with a team of engineers to diagnose why the power converters, battery modules, digital control systems,heatingand cooling systems in Tesla's industrial batteries occasionally malfunction.Once the root cause has beenidentified, you will lead the effort todevelopautomateddetection forthe issue and devise corrective actions that willreduce the risk ofthese failures reoccurring.Ultimately, youwillbe responsible forimproving the uptime in Tesla's stationary batteries used by commercial and utility scale customers in grid connected and microgrid applications.To be successful, in this role you will need to be skilled at troubleshooting electronic systems, mechanical systems, and computer networks, as well asdeveloping your own codeandmanipulating SQL data.If you are a "maker" that loves to solve problems, this is the role for you.
