The Opportunity:

As a Research Associate II you will be responsible for conducting research, development and manufacturing laboratory experimentation and other scientific activities to support Ventana projects. Exercises technical expertise and discretion in the design, execution and interpretation of experiments that contribute to project strategies. Prepares technical reports, summaries, protocols and quantitative analyses. Presents and discusses results of experiments within department and project team. Maintains high level of professional expertise through familiarity with scientific literature and may participate in conferences and professional societies. Follows company policies and procedures for GMP, GLP, Design Control and others as appropriate. Maintains complete and accurate laboratory documentation and electronic files. May act as principal investigator in conducting own experiments.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs experimental protocols and executes bench experiments with minimal supervision, analyzing data and making detailed observations.

  • Prepares technical reports, quantitative analyses, and maintains accurate records while adhering to quality standards.

  • Suggests improvements to workflows, assists with patentable invention development, and tackles diverse scientific challenges requiring evaluative judgment.

  • Collaborates effectively in team environments, contributes creative problem-solving and project planning, and trains others in areas of expertise.

  • Troubleshoots issues, takes corrective actions, and presents experimental procedures and results within teams, ensuring consistent quality and compliance.

Who You Are:

  • You possess a Bachelor's Degree in Science with 2+ years of relevant experience.

  • You possess a basic and a range of specialized laboratory techniques.

  • You are capable with searching scientific literature to gain information about specific topics.

  • You are skilled with use of word processing, spreadsheets, graphical and presentation software applications.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Tucson is $57,000 - $81,400. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, level, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
