Job Description * Prepares monthly staffing schedules for all employees and ensures adequate coverage for each shift, every day. * Reviews and approves bi-weekly timekeeping for direct reports. * Provides ongoing education and training to team members, ensuring all competency requirements are met, including customer service standards and relevant policies. * Monitors registration reports and conducts audits on a weekly basis or as otherwise directed. * Shares audit results and process improvement feedback with staff and leadership. * Serves as a subject matter expert and super-user for all registration systems, workflows, and procedures. * Regularly performs standard Patient Access Representative duties to support coverage needs and maintain up-to-date knowledge of workflows and patient experience challenges. * Maintains a strong understanding of the billing process and managed care contracts to effectively explain patient benefits. * Collaborates with the billing department to ensure timely and accurate registration and charge entry, and follows up with staff as needed to address issues. * Shares after-hours call coverage responsibilities for the Patient Access Department with department leadership. * Supports leadership with employee relations matters and performance management. * Assists in tracking and communicating department goals and objectives. * Promotes organizational values and a positive patient experience. * Role models the principles of a Just Culture. * Performs other duties as assigned. * Must maintain HIPAA compliance at all times. Qualifications * Two years of health care experience in a patient access environment, required * 1 year of supervisor/ lead experience, they are open to people without supervisor or lead title if they led a small team * Must be able to manage the operational flow of a medical setting and demonstrate critical decision making to successfully meet operational goals. * MUST HAVE Cerner/ Oracle EMR experience * Will pay for relocation services to Vail, employee housing available * Year long contract to support the patient access team while they go through their epic implementation go-live set for November 2026 * Needs to be flexible/ reliable, will need to cover shifts if people call out Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Vail, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.12 - $34.35/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
