Civil Engineering Project Manager (PE), Public Works & Local Infrastructure, Corpus Christi, TX

Halff has an opening for a Civil Engineer, with their Texas PE License, to be a Project Manager on our growing Public Works & Local Infrastructure team based out of our Corpus Christi, TX office. The ideal candidate would bring at least 6 years of experience in Local Infrastructure, Public Works or Land Development. This position requires strong design and project management experience and knowledge of working with public entities. This role will have a large amount of autonomy in managing engineers-in-training and CAD designers. What you will do:

• Manage projects from planning through delivery, collaborating with project members, multi-practice teams, subconsultants and other stakeholders to make sure deliverables, requirements, schedules, costs and meeting plans are communicated.
• Responsible for managing and overseeing the design and construction of public works, local infrastructure, municipal roadway, trails, drainage, and land development projects.
• Assist in development and management of project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• Support in preparation of proposals and RFQs.
• Manage quality assurance and control analysis to ensure projects meet or exceed client expectations and Halff requirements and comply with recognized standards and codes of practice.
• Apply technical expertise appropriately by understanding project specific standards, criteria, deliverables and best practices.
• Monitor project budgets, allocate resources effectively, and identify opportunities to optimize project efficiency and profitability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct and manage design and plan production.
• Manage clients and supervise technical staff.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineers, EITs, and technical staff, fostering a culture of trust and collaboration within project team.

What you will need:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or ABET accredited equivalent engineering degree
• Professional Engineer (PE) License in Texas
• At least 6 years of experience in utility and public works design, local infrastructure, public works, municipal roadway, trails, drainage, and land development projects
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills
• Must be proficient in project management, administration and supervision
• Ability to work in a team environment with multiple offices and various disciplines
• Positive attitude, self-directed required
• Coastal Bend regional experience preferred
• AutoCAD Civil 3D CAD experience preferred
