The Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a mid-level associate to join our Financial Institutions Group in Chicago or Dallas. We enjoy an outstanding reputation as a leading financial services firm, with strong credentials and experience counseling and representing global and national financial institutions on a wide range of matters. Our clients span the range in the industry including private equity funds, venture capital funds, emerging enterprises, private equity-backed businesses, individual executives and family-held companies, multibillion-dollar multinational organizations and strategic investors. We also have extensive experience supporting banking clients on regulatory and corporate management issues.

Our cohesive and collaborative team has a diverse and unique multidisciplinary practice that gives our associates the opportunity to work closely with shareholders and to participate in business development and client-facing activities. Our platform supports and encourages career development and thrives on excellent client service.

About You:

  • You have 1-3 years of general corporate and M&A law firm experience;
  • You have experience in bank and financial services M&A and regulatory matters;
  • You have the ability to take ownership of assignments and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines;
  • You have experience managing multiple matters simultaneously;
  • You have a J.D. degree and strong academic credentials;
  • You are in good standing with the ARDC of the Supreme Court of Illinois, and/or the relevant State Bar in Texas; and
  • You are admitted in (and in good standing with), or taking steps to become admitted in, the applicable jurisdiction (Illinois or Texas).
