Job Description:
* Assist with greenhouse trials to evaluate the performance of corn inoculated with microbial treatments
* Grow, quantify and apply microbial inoculum for plant inoculation.
* Travel to field sites and collect root samples from diverse corn germplasm.
* Conduct DNA extraction, quantification, and DNA amplification
* Bioinformatics: Aid in the detection and analysis of target gene variants across corn germplasm.
* Evaluate microbial colonization in plant roots

Qualifications:
* BS with 4 years' experience or MS with 1 year in plant physiology, beneficial plant-microbe interactions, soil microbiology, and/or molecular biology.
* Local candidates only
* Experience with microscopy techniques, such as fluorescence imaging
* DNA extraction, quantification, and DNA amplification
* Greenhouse trials
