Staff Engineer II - System Integration Engineer

What you'll do:

As a Staff Engineer II - System Integration Engineer, you'll oversee IT infrastructure systems, applications, and cloud services to maintain data flow and operations. In this role, you'll identify development needs, support projects, facilitate team communications, and ensure process compliance. Additionally, as the System Integration Engineer, you'll leverage cloud services experience and strict adherence to procedures when building or onboarding new environments.
  • Utilize Azure and AWS knowledge to support cloud environments.

  • Troubleshoot and optimize performance issues.

  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and industry standards through review and refinement of controls.

  • Expand application monitoring tools like SolarWinds and AppDynamics.

  • Collaborate with business units on cloud needs and project delivery.

  • Create and implement transaction-specific performance metrics; develop reference architecture and diagrams.

  • Coordinate with tower teams to develop cloud applications.

  • Apply engineering principles for reliability and recovery.

  • Prepare reports and maintain documentation.

  • Follow risk and cybersecurity policies.

  • Work independently on assignments from concept to completion.

What you'll need:

  • 7+ years of related experience IT App Support, IT Development, IT Networking, or similar field.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required.
  • Knowledge of Azure and AWS services.
  • Experience collaborating with both development and infrastructure teams.
  • Experience with designing and implementing contemporary infrastructure solutions.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in aligning projects with organizational objectives and an ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution, risk identification, and mitigation at the project level. Proficient in governance processes including intake, technical reviews, and architectural compliance.
  • Proficiency with monitoring and analytics tools such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace, SolarWinds, LiveAction, NetBrain, Splunk/ELK, and ThousandEyes.
  • Experience serving banking infrastructure needs for end users and development teams.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing multiple projects cross functionally and concurrently.
  • Experience with pipeline development and the use of Azure DevOps is beneficial.
  • Experience working on remediation actions alongside network, server, application teams, and product owners.
  • Experience working as part of a collaborative team between business and IT functions
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general Financial Services or Banking is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Advanced proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Additional experience with pipeline development and leveraging Azure DevOps while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced ability to see the big picture and align projects with organizational goals. Capable of leading and motivating cross-functional teams. Expertise in resolving conflicts and addressing challenges as well as skilled at identifying and mitigating risks at the project level. Proficient in governance patterns tied to intake, technical reviews and architectural compliance.
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
  • May require up to 25% travel.
