About the Job

Present materials and facilitate Erosion and Stormwater Management Program Certification classes. In class content is to be developed from the presenters' own experience. Construction sites, municipalities, and industrial facilities are subject to National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) regulations. The program offers comprehensive training for designers, inspectors, contractors, and other staff involved with these sites and regulations.

Job Responsibilities:
100% instruct content at workshops, to include: developing class content; facilitating exercises, registration, audio visual equipment set up, and exam administration; picking up and returning materials and equipment to the University of Minnesota.

Qualifications

Required

  • BA/BS in relevant field (such as Biosystems Engineering, Water Resources, Ecology, Civil Engineering) plus at least 10 years of related professional experience, or a MS degree plus 8 years of experience or terminal degree with 6 years of experience along with a proven ability to perform job
  • Knowledge of principles and methods
  • Prior experience conducting Erosion and Stormwater Management Program Certification classes
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and database software with Microsoft Office and Google applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, Sheets)
  • Must be able to lift twenty pounds

Preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Experience with website maintenance
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and/or confidential information
  • Experience using Access databases
  • Experience using Canvas Learning Management System
  • Demonstrated experience using InDesign software
Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
