This individual's primary clinical focus will be the inpatient evaluation and management of post-partum patients in the Mother-Baby unit. Primary responsibilities include inpatient rounding, ordering medications, writing daily notes and managing discharges. This role requires working closely with various teams to ensure integrated, high quality care and smooth discharges for mothers and their infants.
This full time role is 40 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications
*Experience: Minimum 2 years prior experience in Women's Health preferred. Degree concentration in Women's Health or a demonstrated interest in Women's Health preferred.
*Licensure/Certifications: IBCLC certification or interest in pursuing
*Skills: Background in academic medical center or working with learners preferred. Desire to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

- Administration:
- Coordinates meeting applicable educational standards for all disciplines in collaboration with

- Documents findings noting pertinent normal and abnormal findings.
- Orders and interprets the appropriate diagnostic labs and tests.
- Forms medical diagnoses based on history, assessment and diagnostic findings.

- Prescribes and recommends pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
- Initiates and evaluates clinical pathways and protocols.
- Recognizes acute/emergent situations requiring immediate responsiveness and initiates life-saving interventions, alerting the interdisciplinary team members for assistance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Graduate of an accredited graduate school of nursing or physician assistant program with a master's degree. Experience: Department and unit specific. Licensure: License or license eligible as an Advance Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner, Physician Associate, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, and Certified Nurse Midwife) as set forth by the state of Virginia. If Nurse Practitioner, license to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia is required. Must demonstrate and maintain all credentialing and licensing requirements of UVA Health System, the Virginia Board of Medicine or the Virginia Board of Nursing, and appropriate certifying bodies. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Current PALS/NRP, as required, specific to position. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as required, specific to position. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive); Repetitive motion: computer keyboard. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs. May be exposed to noise, radiation, radioactive materials, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
Position Compensation Range: $111,300.80 - $178,089.60 Annual
