Staffmark is seeking new talent in Westland, MI, to work as an Accounting Data Inventory Coordinator. Our client needs a motivated individual who is ready to learn and brings a positive growth mindset. If you have experience in either accounts payable or receivable, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, you are the candidate we are looking for!

Pay: $23 - $25 per hour

Schedule: 1st Shift | 8:30 AM - 5 PM

Key Responsibilities

Vendor & Item Management



  • Manage end-to-end vendor setup in the ERP system, collecting and validating all required documentation.
  • Maintain and update existing vendor records, ensuring high data quality and accuracy.
  • Create and maintain material/item master data in the ERP, keeping all fields accurate and up to date.
  • Monitor changes in product specifications or statuses and update item master records accordingly.


Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable



  • Support AR/AP processes, including timely invoicing, account reconciliation, and payment processing.
  • Serve as a point of contact for vendors and customers regarding payment inquiries or discrepancies.
  • Investigate and resolve invoice or payment issues by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of AR/AP subledgers with the general ledger.


Process Improvement & Compliance



  • Identify opportunities to improve AR/AP processes for enhanced accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.



Qualifications



  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or related financial operations.
  • Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with ERP software (NetSuite preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.
