Responsibilities

The Clinic Supervisor oversees daily operations of the Weight Loss and Bariatric Surgery Clinic, ensuring efficient workflows, exceptional patient care, and strong interdisciplinary team support. This role provides frontline leadership for clinical and administrative staff, maintains a patient-centered environment, and partners with clinic leadership to achieve performance, safety, and service excellence goals.

Key Responsibilities Clinic Operations & Team Leadership (40%)
  • Manage day-to-day clinic operations, provider schedules, and staffing to support medical weight management and surgical services.

  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations for clinical and front-office employees.

  • Provide operational expertise to optimize clinic workflows, patient throughput, and coordination between medical, nutritional, and surgical teams.

  • Ensure adherence to clinic protocols, policies, and safety standards, including pre- and post-operative care workflows.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for staff concerns, providing coaching and escalation as needed.

Patient Care & Communication (30%)
  • Promote clear, compassionate communication among providers, staff, patients, and leadership to support a positive patient experience.

  • Act as a liaison to coordinate multidisciplinary care, including nutrition, behavioral health, and surgical services.

  • Support patient education processes and ensure timely follow-up for weight loss programs and surgical pathways.

  • Lead clinic response during emergencies and maintain safety for staff and patients.

Compliance, Finance & Quality Oversight (20%)
  • Support clinic goals, budgeting, resource allocation, and cost-effective operations.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA, and bariatric accreditation requirements when applicable.

  • Monitor environmental safety and maintain secure handling of protected health information.

  • Track performance metrics, quality indicators, and support strategic initiatives that improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Organizational Standards & Expectations (10%)
  • Model the organization's mission, vision, and values in all interactions.

  • Maintain compliance with required attendance, training, licensure, and certifications.

  • Promote innovation, quality improvement, and a collaborative, team-based approach to patient care.


Qualifications

Education:

  • RN, LPN, or CMA credential with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

  • Business or healthcare management degree preferred.

Experience:

  • 2-3 years of clinic operations experience preferred.

  • Supervisory or leadership experience in healthcare is a plus.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Active RN/LPN/CMA credential.

  • Valid driver's license if driving for work-related duties.

  • BLS certification (or ability to obtain).

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in EMR systems and Microsoft Office.

  • Knowledge of healthcare operations, compliance, and patient experience best practices.
