Basic Function

HF Sinclair is seeking a IT Refining Senior Analyst EHS in Dallas, TX, who will be responsible for leading the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) business applications, systems, and services for IT while working with key users to improve business processes. Provides technical expertise, direction, and training for team members as well as business users.

Job Duties

  • Leads complex requirements gathering and process modeling, mentors junior analysts, and takes primary responsibility for more critical or cross-functional projects in the EHS function.
  • Provides delivery leadership and functional expertise for various Refining, Midstream, or Renewables applications and modules including projects and enhancement requests in the EHS function.
  • Elicits, documents, and validates business and functional requirements and related configuration for IT EHS
  • Facilitates workshops and interviews with stakeholders
  • Translates business needs into user stories, process flows, or use cases
  • Leads or aids in business case development
  • Implements configuration changes, redesigns, new releases and updates to the systems environment to optimize the use of Information Technology
  • Designs interfaces, processes, reports, enhancements (including custom programs), and conversions for assigned complex and large scale application systems and reporting environments to meet business requirements
  • Designs and perform quality assurance testing and perform unit and integration testing
  • Facilitates meetings, conducts and lead presentations and/or training sessions with end-users, standardizing training and providing detailed documentation as needed
  • Collaborates with the Project Management Office to provide clear, concise weekly status reports for assigned team's issues and projects
  • Provides support role to subsequent phases of ERP implementation and work on special projects as needed
  • Supports and oversee integration points between assigned area of responsibility and other modules
  • Leads a team on special projects or play a lead technical role as assigned


Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their manager, as determined from timeto time are the supervisor's sole and complete discretion.


Responsible for the strategy, capability management, delivery, and implementation for the following applications in the Environmental, Health, & Safety space: Enablon, CCure Badge System, Cority MedGate, Everbridge, Sphera PHA & Essential, and other EH&S supporting applications.



  • Implements configuration changes, new releases and updates to the back office environment, including SAP and associated applications, to optimize the use of Information Technology within supply chain operations

Experience

A minimum of five years of direct job related experience is required.



PREFERRED EXPERIENCE


SAP IS-OIL and/or Oil and Gas industry experience is preferred (Midstream/Pipeline & Downstream/Refining areas).

Education Level

A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Services, Engineering, Finance or related field is required.



PREFERRED EDUCATION


MBA preferred.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility

Responsible for the management of up to two exempt level professional employees in addition to temporary staff assigned during special project efforts.

Work Conditions
Office based with travel up to 25% of time by land or air is required. Work conditions may require working petroleum refinery environment, warehouse and plant environments occasionally. Subject to varying road and weather conditions. Occasional long hours, as well as nights and weekends as needed.
