Summary
We have a current opportunity for an Entry-Level Manufacturing and Operations Technician, located at our facilities in Albuquerque, NM. In this role, you will support the manufacturing, assembly, and testing of aerospace hardware while gaining hands-on experience in production operations. Working closely with experienced technicians and engineers, you will learn how to operate equipment, follow detailed work instructions, and contribute to the safe and efficient build of high-quality products. This position is ideal for someone looking to begin a career in aerospace manufacturing with opportunities to grow and develop technical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the assembly, testing, and inspection of prototype and flight hardware under direct supervision.
  • Support day-to-day manufacturing and operations activities, including material handling, preventive maintenance, labeling, stock support, organization and preparation of work areas.
  • Learn to set up, operate, and maintain manufacturing and testing equipment according to established procedures.
  • Prepare materials, tools, and work areas to support daily production activities.
  • Follow detailed work instructions and assembly procedures, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Document completed work, materials used, and inspection results as directed.
  • Support the maintenance and organization of tools, equipment, and workstations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, reporting any non-conformances or issues to supervisors or engineers.
  • Assist with basic troubleshooting and communicate issues to senior technicians or engineers.
  • Participate in training and cross-functional activities to gain broader manufacturing and operations experience.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to ensure smooth workflow and on-time delivery.


Ideal Experience


  • High School Diploma or GED; additional technical training preferred.
  • Some prior hands-on experience (school projects, internships, or related work) in assembly, mechanical, or production environments is helpful but not required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and an eagerness to learn new tools, processes, and systems.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions carefully and work in a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and data entry.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Valid driver's license
  • U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person as defined by ITAR regulations.



Desired Skills


  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and shipping documentation.
  • Interest in developing skills in mechanical assembly, testing, and production operations.
  • Basic understanding of hand tools, measurement instruments, and shop safety.
  • Ability to stay organized, take direction, and complete assigned tasks accurately.
  • Commitment to learning, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple manufacturing and operations priorities.

  • Must have the ability to obtain a Clearance
  • Basic experience operating electrical and nonelectrical manufacturing equipment
