The Law School prepares students to practice law in a broad range of public and private sector organizations within the Commonwealth and around the country. In addition, it produces academic scholarship that expands society's understanding of law and legal institutions with a special focus on using economic tools and methods to do so. About the Position: The primary purpose of law faculty is to provide effective teaching to Juris Doctor students, produce original scholarly works for publication, and provide service, including leadership, through participation in governance, and operational or development activities in the Law School, the university, and/or the legal profession. Additionally, in accordance with ABA law school accreditation standards, law faculty share with the dean the primary responsibility and authority for planning, implementing, and administering the program of legal education; selection, retention, promotion and tenure of faculty; and determining educational policy.
