The Product Designer has a great eye for typography, a passion for user-centered design, and desire to build experiences that amplify the work of AccuWeather product portfolio; consumer & enterprise. This role requires a balance of strong visual design alongside an understanding of creating design systems and software tools.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Track record of rapid design and launching impactful products from concept to delivery
  • Produce pixel perfect high fidelity visual comps and guides to the development team
  • Advanced understanding and experience working with responsive and adaptive layouts
  • Help develop, manage, and refine UI pattern libraries and interaction guidelines
  • Communicate, defend, and build consensus around product design direction
  • Strong portfolio with a highly refined aesthetic
  • UX sensibility and exceptional eye for detail Performs other duties as assigned.



QUALIFICATIONS



  • Minimum of 3-5 years' graphic / product / UI design experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and UI best practices
  • Ability to design within brand guidelines and create guidelines as needed
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Experience within an Agile delivery team to iteratively plan and develop products
  • Experience with rapid prototyping applications and ability to prototype for user testing
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS
  • Keynote and/or PowerPoint skills
  • Expert knowledge of Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and other industry tools
  • Experience designing high-profile, complex experiences for the web, mobile and app interfaces
  • Strong portfolio with a highly refined aesthetic including examples of digital media and data driven experiences.
  • Exceptional time and project management skills
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to think creatively and quickly
  • Well-developed interpersonal communication skills, diplomacy and tact
