From your PASSION to ours

Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring an Operator I, Sanitation based in Nampa, ID.

As Operator I, Sanitation, you will clean the production lines by disassembling and reassembling machinery while following all safety and GMP procedures and policies.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Disassembles all the packaging equipment to clean and disinfect
  • Follow and adhere to all safety and GMP procedures and policies
  • Take necessary measures if people are performing unsafe acts or are in an unsafe environment.
  • Perform daily swabs of equipment
  • Reassembles all equipment taken apart and prepares equipment for production ensuring production will resume on clean equipment and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area by adhering to all housekeeping and GMP procedures
  • Interact with associates to maintain efficient process flow
  • Maintain open line of communication with all line workers, supervisors, and managers
  • Perform sanitation duties as assigned by sanitation lead and supervisor
  • Report problems and/or concerns to supervisors and/or management
  • Attend departmental meetings and training as assigned by the supervisor and/or manager
  • Perform other work duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

Education

  • High School Diploma or completion of GED preferred, but not required.

Experience

  • Previous sanitation or cleaning experience in a food manufacturing environment, industrial, or production environment preferred
  • Experience with Clean-in-Place (CIP) and Clean-out-of-Place (COP) systems, including setup, monitoring, and verification of cleaning cycles
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safe handling procedures, and proper dilution techniques
  • Familiarity with disassembling and reassembling machinery for deep cleaning
  • Experience using sanitation equipment such as pressure washers, foamers.

Specialized Knowledge

  • Basic knowledge of food safety standards (GMP, HACCP) preferred
  • Familiarity with CIP (Clean-in-Place) and COP (Clean-out-of-Place) systems is a plus
  • Understanding of sanitation chemicals, proper dilution, and safe handling procedures
  • Knowledge of cross-contamination prevention and hygiene practices
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines
  • Awareness of OSHA safety practices and PPE requirements

Skills / Abilities

  • Knowledge of food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, sanitation protocols)
  • Experience with CIP (Clean-in-Place) and COP (Clean-out-of-Place) systems
  • Safe handling, mixing, and application of cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to follow detailed sanitation procedures and safety guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and contamination prevention
  • Ability to perform equipment disassembly and reassembly for deep cleaning
  • Time management and ability to meet strict cleaning schedules and production deadlines
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, physically demanding environments
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Basic recordkeeping and documentation skills (logs, checklists, compliance forms)
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to identify sanitation or equipment issues
  • Adaptability to work in varying conditions (wet, cold, humid environments)
  • Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE
