Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrol in Lillington, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, supporting a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Your visible presence helps to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the healthcare location in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing armed response protocols when necessary.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or security-related incidents.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or security-related breaches.
  • Document and report any suspicious activities, security-related incidents, or emergencies according to Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
  • Assist with crowd control, visitor management, and/or access control as needed within the healthcare environment.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and/or site personnel during incidents requiring armed intervention.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
