As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. You will conduct routine patrols and interact with the public, delivering excellent customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including both interior areas and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for suspicious behavior and/or potential threats and report findings according to established protocols.
  • Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials and maintaining awareness of who is entering or exiting the premises.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate records and write detailed reports on incidents, observations, and patrol activities.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to security-related situations while upholding the professional standards of Allied Universal.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
