What You'll Do:

  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal at the assigned government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or breaches.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by addressing inquiries or directing them as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Assist in emergency response activities as required, including following evacuation and/or lockdown procedures.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and/or activities during the shift as required by Allied Universal.
  • Communicate and coordinate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and/or site management as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
