Job Description:

The Administrative Assistant provides administrative clerical support to the Directors of Patient Care Services (Nursing, Therapies, Behavioral Health, Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Services and Critical Care Services), and other leaders within Patient Care Services as needed.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma.
  • Two (2) years Administrative Assistant experience within a healthcare setting with strong organizational and communication skills is required.
  • 6-12 months experience in advanced administrative clerical support required.
  • May consider additional education in lieu of experience.
  • Position requires proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio with the ability to function as a resource person.
  • Ability to prioritize workload; maintain confidentiality; effectively & efficiently multi-task to handle many competing demands; excellent customer service skills; advanced critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to maintain stable work performance levels; demonstrate acute attention to detail; submit accurate work products; exhibit a positive attitude and professional work demeanor.
  • Demonstrates flexibility to meet the needs of the department/organization.
  • Ability to use discretion as the position deals with confidential materials on a daily basis, including but not limited to, disciplinary actions, grievance information and patient information relating to admission, insurance and disposition.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree in Administrative Assistant Medical/Healthcare is preferred.
