https://its.uark.edu/ Summary of Job Duties:The Director, Identity and Access Management (IAM) reports to the Chief Information Officer and oversees all aspects of solutions architecture and development in the domain of identity, access management, Active Directory, multi-factor authentication, privileged access management, single sign-on, and related middleware. The position is responsible and accountable for coordinating and managing the scope, estimations, and delivery of multiple small to large-scale projects to achieve the desired goals and benefits. The position also sets technical and service strategies, provides expertise and advice for the organization, and leads the delivery of identity and access services to the university and affiliates.

The IAM Director will positively impact the University's operations and culture by ensuring IT infrastructure is operable, secure, efficient, and effective in service of the University's mission. This team member will advance the University's mission by delivering exceptional information technology services comprehensively and consistently across customers and stakeholders.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following or related fields: information technology, cybersecurity, computer science, business administration

Applicable equivalencies or work experience may be considered on the above qualifications.

  • At least five years of experience managing technical and operational staff

  • Three or more years of applicable experience in Identity and Access Management services and computer information systems

  • At least three years providing and managing multilateral federation and directory services (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP), Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies, multi-factor authentication (MFA) solutions, role-based access control (RBAC), identity governance and administration (IGA), and privileged access management (PAM)

  • Experience leading Identity and access management at a large enterprise

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Entra and Active Director (AD)

  • Experience in a complex higher education or hospital environment, serving academic, research, clinical, and administrative functions of a large institution

  • Experienced in leading change management activities and managing their impact across multiple units or departments

  • Demonstrated experience leading in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated understanding of privacy and security regulations and best practices, including federal and state laws, policies, and standards

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present technical topics to large groups with potentially varied levels of technical sophistication

  • Ability to inspire creativity in others and advise teams on industry-leading practices, such as the incorporation of new technologies or processes

Salary Information:

$75,092 - $97,619 commensurate with education and experience
