We are seeking a Director of NPI Planning to lead the development and management of New Product Introduction (NPI) schedules supporting board assembly and systems integration. This role will oversee a global team of planners, collaborate with contract manufacturers, and drive operational excellence to ensure timely product launches. You'll play a critical role in launching innovative products on schedule, driving efficiency, and shaping the future of our supply chain operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage NPI schedules and deliverables to keep projects on track and within scope.
  • Oversee build plan execution for proof-of-concept and engineering builds, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Collaborate closely with internal business units and supply chain teams to align expectations and maintain timelines.
  • Serve as the escalation point for NPI readiness issues; drive resolution through daily stakeholder engagement and accountability.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and align operational dashboards to track KPIs against annual goals.
  • Manage NPI cost analysis and implement cost improvement initiatives with suppliers.
  • Oversee cross-charging for NPI services and track capacity at partner sites for future planning.
  • Manage excess and obsolete inventory programs and coordinate material movement between sites.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership and key stakeholders on planning and supply-related issues.
  • Partner with IT teams to ensure adoption of latest technologies and practices supporting NPI programs.

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience leading planning or program/project management teams.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes across NPI phases, including procurement, planning, materials management, and logistics.
  • Proven ability to solve complex supply and demand challenges in electronics manufacturing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration across global teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with strong project management and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with electronics manufacturing operations (IQC, SMT, PTH, Assembly, Testing, Packaging) and systems integration.
  • Proficiency in material planning techniques and Microsoft Office applications.

Experience and Education:

Candidates will have a B.S. degree plus 10 years of planning, program/project management, or related experience.

Location: Austin, Texas

Job may require some international travel to meet with staff and suppliers.
