We are currently seeking a National Academy and Training Manager to join our Air Conditioning Technologies Team!

This position will lead the Technical Training efforts in the LG US Air Conditioning Technologies division, including leading the Technical Content development efforts to support new product launches and overseeing the 6 LG ACT Academies (Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and NJ) inclusive of training scheduling and activities. In addition, the position will be responsible for Training infrastructure activities including managing the Learning Management System (LMS) operations, related vendor relations and invoice processing, maintaining Training operational and capital budgets, and timely reporting on training activities to US and Global HQ. Finally, the position will ensure the LG Training function meets and exceeds monthly KPI's and meaningfully contributes to improving the LG Customer Experience through timely, accurate and comprehensive Technical Training offerings.

As part of the LG Academy oversight, they will also be responsible for the design, upkeep, rollout and effectiveness of all LG training centers. The position will also partner effectively with the Aftermarket team to incorporate field knowledge into training content and support the Associate Academies through the LG Service Champions, including Train-the-Trainer classes (TTT) and distribution of classes for delivery.

Ultimately this position will be responsible for providing a best-in-class student experience for the HVAC industry on behalf of LG Electronics. The selected candidate will need to work on site in one of the Academy facility locations (Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and NJ)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:



  • Manage LG ACT Academy staff (including Trainers and Customer Center Admins across 6 LG Academies), Training Support staff, and Technical Content development team.
  • Responsibility for overall CAC technical training curriculum, with specific expectations:

    • Ownership of LG Technical Training curriculum to align with LGEUS business goals and exceptional customer experiences
    • Regular revisions of existing classes to incorporate new products
    • Development of new classes, delivered on time and on budget
    • Significant focus on hands-on learning and exercises
    • Development of relevant and novel troubleshooting tools used in training delivery


  • Compliance with timely, accurate and complete reporting of CAC Academy Training activity to LG HQ and Global Academy functions per established expectations
  • Launch of Customer Centers in 3 remote academies (Boston, Chicago and LA) in 1H 2026, including initial admin staffing, assignment of duties for functional support, and support of spaces for other functional personnel (e.g. Marketing, Sales, Engineering)
  • Facility management of 3 remote Academies (Boston, Chicago and LA), as well as Academy-designated spaces in 3 co-located Academies (Atlanta, Dallas, and NJ HQ), including lab equipment, functional operation and capital improvements. Coordination with LG HQ and support functions to effectively execute improvement plans.
  • Ensure LG CAC Technical Academies have newest CAC equipment available for hands-on training as soon as possible, given NPI (New Product Introduction) processes.
  • Development of innovative training classes and learning/troubleshooting tools, leveraging current and future technologies.
  • Support for LG Associate Academies by providing existing training content and hosting Train-the-Trainer classes, in coordination with Service Champion program team
  • Effectively partner with internal and external departments, factory and HVAC product design team members on the development of training content
  • Align with company business objectives and design enterprise training to meet internal and external training needs. Develop annual training plan covering existing and planned curriculum, training activities across LG Academies, and all associated investments and operating costs.
  • Lead project(s) for future LG Training Academies in US, including planning, budgeting, design and execution.
  • Coordinate training schedule by modality of instructor led courses, remote instruction and video conferencing
  • Manage, track and report on the usage of all training centers in a timely and accurate manner
  • Determine training effectiveness, evaluate criteria and data gathering/tracking methods
  • Communicate with other teams, departments, and customers to identify opportunities to proactively identify issues in the field and provide training solutions for distribution
  • Manage and maintain the LMS content and activities in order to track training by individual, ensure all accomplishments are documented, and provide training documentation and reporting as required


Qualifications



  • Minimum 7-year record of successful technical training experience HVAC Sales (Distributor / Manufacturer / Contractor) VRF / DFS experience
  • Demonstrated experience developing and curating Training Materials , Instructional Design and Curriculum development in HVAC training
  • Prior experience in budgeting and forecasting
  • Strong math and analytics skills
  • Strong detail orientation and organization skills
  • Collaborative Structured problem-solver with a positive attitude
  • Excellent computer skills. Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other standard computer applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with various levels of organization and customers

Recruiting Range
$150,000 - $165,000 USD
