As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. You will interact with staff, visitors, and patients, offering exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment and de-escalation techniques.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Interact professionally with staff, patients, and visitors to address questions and provide security-related assistance as needed.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Maintain awareness of the healthcare environment and adjust patrols and responses as needed based on changing conditions or incidents.
  • Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations, lockdowns, or medical emergencies, in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a valid New Jersey RPO certificate.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
